SAFETY SAFETY Please do not by pass the safety
switch ,if some one would get hurt or killed.
it would be hard to live with.I know a man wou spent several days in the hospital because of a by passed SAFETY on a 8N ford he said later
he tought the safety switch cost to much to repair. but his stay in the hospital made the SAFETY switch look real cheep after all.

The only POSSIBLE, but unlikely, reason I can think of to want to do this is if your clutch is stuck and you want to start it in gear in order to try and unstick the clutch (by driving in a field or dropping a plow in the ground, etc., etc., which sometimes works to unstick a clutch). As others said, tell us the problem, and someone will help fix it.

Why would you want to by-pass a SAFETY switch, you must have a reason, can you explain please. If you have a problem with it maybe we can help you overcome it.

My TO-30 has been converted to 12 volts and I use the safty switch on the transmission to put power on the solonoid to start it. I had a key start on the dash and started it a couple of times in gear because the guy I bought it from had wired it to the key switch. What a suprize when it starts while inside the shop and in gear. Please don't bypass the safty switch. Dave

Anything is possible but are you sure that you really want to by pass a safety device like the starter switch that's on the tractor? Lot of guys have gotten run over before they had these types of devices on tractors, or after they by passed them. I know how to do it but I ain't tellin'.

you are going to hurt yorself ,long ago i learned a lesson the hard way ,i started a tractor in gear and was standing in front of it ,my dad kicked my rear end ,thank god he had Wellingtons on his feet ,
if you want to be around for awhile dont bypass the built in safety devices on these old tractors
