Did Ferguson ever build a Pony. I was told that during the Massey/Ferguson merger, each company sold under their own name, the other companys equipment. If that is the case why haven't I seen some postings on the Ferguson Pony? How many did they sell under the Ferguson name?

Were these tractors the Pony or the Pacer which had a larger engine. I think the Pacer was around 18 HP. while the pony was around 11 HP. I am just curious.

Check the archives, because I remember sometime this past year or maybe longer someone posted a group of pictures that were to be for sale at an estate sale. All the pictures were of Ferguson tractors, shows, dealers and such. Very interesting, and I remember a picture of several pony's painted gray under a dealer tent at a show.

A story on the Ferguson Pony will be in the Ferguson Furrows in the near future.

No Ferguson never built a Pony. However, after the merger there were approximately 600 to 900 Pony's painted Gray and shipped to Ferguson dealers. These Ponys never had the Ferguson name on them (decal) The identifying features are the name plate which read Massey-Harris-Ferguson. All the Gray Ponys were in the serial number range of 23200's to 23800's.

Richard Kimble of Ohio had a beautiful unrestored origional paint and decal pony at the Massey show in Plain city last weekend.

None of the Ferguson line was factory painted M-H colors to be sold at the M-H dealers.

They gray pony was not well received by the dealers nor some M-H-F directors.
