Anybody have any info on Gray Ferguson radios that were given away as a promo with new tractors purchased in the early 50's? Probably UK only, but maybe elsewhere. Old radios are my other money pit. One of my radio buddies asked me about this since I also run a 52 TO30. Would love to have a starting point to try to find a set like that to restore and show with my 30.

As far as I can remember they never gave away tractor radios in the UK. There was at least one available and that was made by Philip's and sat on the rear fender with a tall antennae.

Thanks John. Was hoping you"d jump in. Best I can determine, this was not a radio for the tractor, but for the wife. Ferguson brand (not related to Harry Ferguson but Thorn Corp. in Canada) painted up in battleship grey. Source only said they were given away with "T" tractors. He"s not a tractor guy, so I don"t know which models.

That offer must have been something for the USA or Canada, as we didn't have Thorn at that time, I am talking about 1953 - 1956
