I'm not sure where the timing marks are on the Continental Z134 but if you have a Shop Manual it'll tell you. If you have a hole in the back of the block, shine the timing light on it and you should se some marks on the flywheel if that's where the timing marks are at. Usually there is a speed at which you set the initial timimg. On my TO-30 it's 400 rpm. All you do is set the initial timing speed, shine the light on the timing mark and note the timing (for example: 6 degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center)) If the timing should be 5 degrees BTDC, loosen the hold down bolt on the distributor and rotate it in the direction of rotation of the rotor til the timing mark is at 5 degrees BTDC. If it should be 7 degrees BTDC, rotate the distributor opposite the direction of rotation til the timing mark is on 7 degrees BTDC
