I'd like to add a remote hydraulic to my working TO 30. Plan to tap into one of the ports on the transmission cover to stay away from the muffler and special fitting on the bottom of pump. Is it possible to put a plug somewhere to switch from the lift to remote with a valve or a good way to block the lift? Is there a website with a schematic? thanks

Not seen a website with a schematic. It depends on your particular tractor as to whether you can stay away from the Pump, the early ones didn't have any ports on the top cover like the later ones do. Look on the front sides of the top cover that the seat fastens to and either side there may be a plug with a hole for an Allen wrench, if it has you can use either of these (3/8"BSP) if it hasn't you will have to use one on the Pump Base right at the bottom, 1/2" x 20tpi, make sure you have a GOOD sealing washer and don't over-tighten it or you may strip it, just tighten firmly though. Haven't seen a suitable valve for there like there used to be available, all you could do is use a spool valve fed from the pressure point you choose and return the oil into one of the round side covers (drill a hole and make adaptor for it) do not return the oil to the filler plug or you will empty the hydraulics into the gearbox
To stop the lower link arms from rising to shut-off the pump you need either the TEE piece from a trailer hitch or make up some extra strong drawbar stays (up to you what height)BUT fasten them on the long hinged pin using spacers to stop them drifting about,NOT the top link rocker. if you need more information.
