Hi. There's a guy at work who has a 135 diesel. He wants $1,000 for it. The tractor is in decent shape and would be a good upgrade for my TO30. The problem is when you crank the tractor, it is pumping what I assume is hydraulic fluid into the starter and onto the ground. Other than this the tractor runs good. The lift works. It picked up a double row bottom plow with ease. Could someone give me an idea what is going on before I buy it? Thanks for your help.

As J2 says it does sound more like a rear main seal leaking, is the oil black or green or milky colour, black is engine oil and the other is transmission oil. no big thing either way really but if the engine has done a lot of hours it could also be the rear main bearing worn as it has a very heavy flywheel fitted. You could drop the oil pan and check for lift in the flywheel.

Sounds more like a rear main seal leak that throws the oil into the starter when you start it.. J
