Hey gang. I am new to this site. I am an old Allis owner but I just inherited a TO 35. I wonder if somebody has a reference to run a serial number for me and give me whatever information you can. The serial number found on the identification plate near the steering column says TO 35-143375. I found a number on the side of the transmission casing 181-402-N1. There is a 34 F here as well. Under the seat is a number 180-969 M1. Any help would be appreciated. I want to convert this tractor to 12 volt and I willl need a list of parts to get from the local parts store as well as a complete wiring diagram. I did this conversion on my WD and I have never looked back. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bob...congrats on the TO-35. I have serial #143350, pretty close to yours!

I agree with Jeff, 12V is not necessary. I've kept mine 6V and it started well even in very cold, wet winters. The key is heavy gauge battery cables, and clean connections.

However, there is lots of 12V conversion info available if you search the archives.

Good luck!

This may be in wrong place, but I wondering if there ever was a ferguson 35 with little chrome buttons that open the hood panel. When I was little, that is all I remember in regards to the farm was dad letting me push the buttons and the hood would pop open. If they did, could someone help me locate one or some serial numbers to ask a potential seller about. I have gone to auctions but the hoods all look diffentent. Thnaks, Mark--searching for tribute to my father.l

There is a SN Referance table to your left on the Reasearch and Info area.

From The SN you have a 1955 TO-35. This is the first year of real production (first 5 in 1954).

Yours is the 3375 one made.

Wiring diagrams are available at the Ferguson Enthusiast of North America site. See link below.

There is no real need to switch to 12 volt. Clean, bright and tight electrical connections is all it takes.

Welcome,
Jeff

You'll also find paint scheams and modern paint code cross-references at the FENA site.
