What is the best way to remove the head from a TO-20 without cracking it? I removed all retaining nuts and tried to drive a flat head screw driver between block and head to get it to release, but I'm having no luck,,,,I'm afraid I will crack the bead if I drive the spacer in two far,,,,Has 10 retaining Nuts..... ....Thanks Albert

Just a note if you are doing a valve job. Before you get the work done be sure the head has no cracks. Mine was cracked and it did not show up until the work was in progress. I was luckey and know a great welding shop they where able to fix it for me and it has been fine.

Sorry for the bother, page 3 of the shop manual plainly says to remove 13 nuts,I missed the 3 in the middle of the head.I removed them and the head came right off...There is a little bit of scoreing where I was using the screw drive but I don't think enough to bother any thing.....Albert
