My current carb drizzles fuel all over after shutdown and occasionally while running I have to smack it to keep the engine running, I think the float is sticking, the body appears to be broken a washer and bolt and nut are being used to "pin" it to the manifold, does a new carb have threads or is it simply bolt and nuted to the manifold, the other side of mine has only one nut on top of the manifild like a stud? Also
:) I read about a belt pulley but I don't see one would this replace the PTO shaft?

Sounds like the float may need to be adjusted, though it could be due to the floats rubbing on the inside of the bowl or leaky floats. The carb is bolted to the manifold, normally. The belt pulley bolts on to the PTO area.
