Get your self a ferguson Shop Manual and read about splitting the tractor. It has a some great info to help you. Remember to place a wooden block ( i.e. a 2x4) between the front of the engine block and the front axle support or the engine will rotate about the axle pivot pin when you remove the bolts from the bell housing. get some all thread rod to put in the bell housing bolt holes to pull the block back into the transmission housing.

Wayne, never PULL the engine into the clutch housing, use the rod only as a guide. If you pull the engine back there is a danger that you may buckle the centre plate of the clutch. Just rock the engine slightly as you push it back and at the same time turn the engine over slightly, this will allow the splines to line up more easily. Make sure that the splines are clean and free but don't use oil on them.
