Good Evening Everyone While hauling wood up this past weekend I managed to blow the engine pipe off of the manifold ( just rusted through I guess ) I went to my local MF Dealer and ordered a new one. Its a one piece unit complete with muffler. One problem though. It wont fit without a minor modification. The pipe that rusted through had a piece welded in it to extend the length of the pipe, where itcomes down from the manifold. The new one I bought wont fit under the running plates where you put your feet. If I put this new muffler on the way it came it will go on top of the running plates. My MF Dealer says that I can make it fit for around $150, way to much. The one I ended up buying was $48. Is there one out there that will bolt right on??? Thanks in advance. I will take a couple of digital pics to explain myself a bit better tomorrow

Barry, that dbtp is getting pretty agressive, I'm not sure i would put up with it.
Rumour has it, that his wife has suggested he get a tractor for their new property. Here's a guy with the OK!! from THE WIFE and he's not moving on it. This is a disgrace to all of tractordom.
Work on him Barry..... .

S42428 pipe from Sparex or through CEFS in Canada should be ok for that I am told.

Hey Barry, if you have a welder, just cut the vertical pipe and splice a piece in, i think cnadian tire has similar diameter pipe, definetly not a $150 job.
I actually bought the generic 8n/9n muffler from princess auto, bought a couple of elbows from canadian tire, welded them into a U shape and converted my system into a vertical stack muffler. looks really good and doesnt get piled up with snow like the origial system. I did it for less than 50 bucks.
I'll post a pic this week.

good luck.

Kev
