Hi gang... :-)

I have come so far with my TEA 20 restoring that I was about to empty the engine sump for oil, to put the plug back and clean the underside of the engine so I could put primer on that too.

Bummer, grey and with water. I guess the solution is to disassemble the entire engine and put in some new stuff.
How about new pistons and liners, and bearings and so ?

Bill

Whether you need liners, etc will obviously depend on wear when you measure it.
In the meantime, I always recommend in cases like this to drop the sump pan with everything else in place & pressure the cooling system. That way, you can see where the leak is coming from. Could be headgasket, or perhaps the gaskets below the liners in need of replacement.
