John - can you clarify what is a TEA 20? I own a TE 20 and have often wodered what the "A" means.
Not a big deal....just curiousity.

The original tractor was a TE20 and that had the Continental gas engine fitted, later (1948) they started fitting the Standard Motors engine and to show there was a difference between the two tractors they added an "A" which means it has a Standard gas engine. There are at least 20 different versions of the TE20 series and each one, except the original version, had a different third letter that tells you what spec.it is. All the numbers run concurrently but the prefix letters can be different. The TE20 "series had lots of variations which included Gas,Diesel,VO & Zero Octane engines and all available in the following versions:-Standard width, Narrow (Orchard, Vineyard and Industrial tractors.
