I recently replaced the steering shaft, ball block bearing and other roller bearings in my 1955 TO35. I am ready to put it back together but can't find any information about what kind of lubricant or how much to put back in the reservoir. All I have is an I&T Shop Manual. It doesn,t give much information. The reservoir seemed to be about half full when I removed the shaft and bearings. Can anyone help?

Bob - The following paragragh is from my 1955 TO-35 owners manual..."The steering assembly has a capacity of 2 U.S. pints transmission oil. If the oil is low, add transmission oil. Normally, the oil will not require changing; however, if necessary, the steering housing will have to be removed from the tractor and drained." That"s all I could find. Mike
