Jeff on the Ford forum suggested that John UK on this forum might know if you can take a Howard out of a TO30 and pop it in an 8N. Anyone know?

If the Howard is the one between 2 smaller plates that requires drilling and tapping the back of the tranny to mount it, the only hang-up I can suggest is if the female/female coupling is different. If so, cut the old Fergie & 8N couplings in half and reweld the ends so you end up with the proper ends/length. HTH jim

ps..... you DO know NOT to use your Howard for a 'pulling' gear, right. No offense intended but, they are too rare and irrepairable to 'learn the hard way'. j
