Last weekend my Uncle went to a farm auction. He said he watched a couple of Dearborn cultivators go for $300+. Everything weas going really high.

So he was surprised when a Ferguson jack came up, and he got it for $4. Apparently no one else knew what it was.

I went out to look at it, and it looks to me like he only got the back half - The part to lift the rear wheels. I was underthe impression that all Ferguson jacks lifted up both ends of the tractor.

But my Uncle says he"s only seen jacks that lift up the back wheels.

So what"s the deal?

Here"s a pic of what he got:

I have the pictures and drawings of the Tractor Jack if he wants to make up the front part. Just email me if you need them.

Hi Jerry, Thank you for that, just had a couple of weeks in Florida to try and find some sun, away from the rain and frost etc. that is here. It seems an awful long winter if you don't do that....John

Most people just used the rear part, it was easier and quicker for the front to just use an old bumper jack than to try to set up the front part

You're right, he only got the back half. There is a small "U shaped" piece with a chain that goes in the front and lifts the front up. There is a picture a picture of the jack in the Part & Pieces section and even a dimensioned picture to help you make the parts if you can't find an original. I bought one for $75+ shipping from the ads in the forum and the guy told me it was complete but when I got it, all I got was the back half. An email about where the rest of it was at was never answered. I think your uncle got agreat deal for $4!!
