I've noticed that my recently purchased 1955 TO35 Deluxe doesn't seem to have as much lift height as my TO20. Things seem to be working OK-- very little sag down after shut off, and good response during lifting and lowering. I'm wondering if less height is just the nature of the 35.

They should lift approximately the same height, you can adjust how high the linkage lifts by moving the stop screw at the top of the Position Control lever Quadrant. To measure that it is lifting to the correct height, you measure from the centre of the hinged pin under the top link connection to the centre of the pin through the top of the levelling lever gearbox, it should be 11-1/4" if I remember correctly, but I stand to be corrected on that measurement, if you lift it too much it will set the safety valve blowing and you should hear it, so drop the lever down a little and move the stop screw up to it and tighten it up. If you need the Instructions for operating this Hydraulic System I do have them, just email me at:- fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk and ask me for them if you want them.

Thanks for the tips. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I had not even noticed the top stop bolt. I moved the stop bolt up a little and that was all that was needed. Thanks again. I sure appreciate all the help I've received from all the good people here.

Are the links to the lower arms in the same holes?
