I have this tractor sitting in my friends garage but I cant get there in person to see it and he is not real willing to poke around for numbers for me. I need a tractor and he might be willing to sell it to me but to be honest I dont know where to start to value it. He says its been used as recently as last year but that is grandfather said it will need some work. Anyway, any help is much appreciated. Thanks
Another member possibly ID"d it
"Billy, looks like a Ferguson TO-20 or TO-30. A friend of mine just bought a running TO-30 for $1000..... ..Kelly. "

I did not see the loader, but then again I did not ask :) How does it even work, Hydraulic? Are these thisngs typically 12v systems?

Are they even any good tractors?

Looked at pics prior to reading everones comments.

Definently a TO-20.
a) hood latch is not of TE-20 style.
b) no Air inlet on dash

Defently a Ferguson.
a) no push button starter (Ford style)
b) One piece hood.

With a bush hog, if it is running you won't be paying too much at $1500. Does he have the loader that goes with the brackets? That will make it worth more.

Jeff

I had him go out just to get a bit more info and he says it is a Ferguson..At least it says that on the front grill. I guess the big question then is how much is it worth. I presume it all depends on how well it runs and what is wrong with it. He is asking 1500 with a Deere brushhog that looks a bit dinged up but not bad at all. I am a complete Noobie on these types of machines but have recently purchased some property nearby and presume I will need a setup like this to keep the fields in somewhat order. Just dont want to throw good money after bad. All of your guys help is GREATLY appreciated!!

It appears to be a TO20 the steering box looks to be separate from the gearbox cover so it wont be a TE and not a TO30 as there is no intake on the dash panel.

It is most likely a TO-20. Small metal gear shift knob would indicate an earlier model. Definetly not a TO-30, because it doesn't have the air intake in the right side of the dash. I bougt one real similar to it for $900.00.

Billy: I'm quite sure Jim is right. It looks just like my TO20 only mine is all gray. I think I too can see the S/N plate in one of the pic's just ahead of the Stearing wheel. Also It looks like the hood/grill are one piece like mine which I think rules out the 8N theory. Those tires sure look good wish mine were the same. LOL. Glenn

It appears to be a TO-20 to me. (It is definitely not a TO-30). It appears to have both the Serial Number plate under the steering wheel on the dash and the engine serial number plate by the coil. The one on the dash would be most helpful in determining the exact year. Jim

Billy, from the color I'd say an 8n Ford. The TO-20 and TO-30 had the serial # plate just above the steering column on the dash. Can't see too much from the angles of the pictures but I don't see the plates. If it runs good, I'd offer $1200-1500.

I think that the plates are there. The hood latch looks like ferguson. the way that the front stabilizers connect to the front axle beam is characteristic ferguson (or early ford). I just am not sure if it is TE or TO, but I think TO. Jim
