I know nothing about the Ferguson spanner as shown in the photograph, BUT, Wrench is an American derivation of the English word spanner.
If I use the word spanner while shopping in America , I get a blank ( this guy doesn't know what he's talking about look ),Thanks for bringing it to everyones attention.

I understand this but as i'm in the uk myself i have a tendency to write spanner not wrench!

I understand that this is an ammerican wrench as for UK the word PLOW would be spelt PLOUGHH

I'm unsure anything else about it but thinking it may be very early posably even pre 1936 Ferguson Typa A

I understand that Harry Ferguson worked along side ford in the early 30's producing Plows for them. Maybe it is from this era?

It may be even earlier than that, the Ferguson/Ford plow spanner was the same as the more modern one that we all know, (not strictly true but near enough) and the nut sizes were the same (on the ones I have seen anyway) but I am thinking it was from the very early days when Ferguson was making plows that fitted the Model T Ford tractor among others. If that is the case I would think it is VERY rare.
