The PTO seal is a snap to replace.

1st do you need to do a rear end oil change?
If yes, then post back and I can provide some tips how and what also to do.

If you are not going to change the rear end oil.

Drain the oil into clean containers. It can be reused.

Remove the four PTO retainer screws.

Remove the PTO Retainer

Pull the PTO, seal housing etc. out.

Drive the seal from the seal housing. (use a hammer and a wood dowl to tap it out.) Note seal orientation.

Place the new seal on in the housing. Push it in place.

Replace the "O-ring" seal

Re-assemble.

Tip: The seal goes into the housing with a tight fit. The seal lip is very thin. I used a 2" PVC pipe coupler and a bench vice to push the seal home. I placed the seal on the housing then pushed it flush with a piece of ply wood then used the PVC to seat the seal into the housing.

This is a simple job. Bigest problem is dealing with all the oil. Some people have parked their tractor on a slope (nose down) to reduce the amount of oil that must be removed.
