i have a 51 TO20 with a cyclone style air precleaner with the glass jar and bail, This does not seem stock as it is not in the parts book or service manual, but I found some ref. on the 9N site. Is this still considered stock??Or could it just be a add on??

I have a restored 1950 TO-20 with the precleaner option on it. I was told it was sold as an option for real dusty areas. I still have the original jar for it. It has " air filter services stamped on it. The jar fell of once and I found it a couple of months later in the pasture intact.
Lucky me.

James, You are lucky, if it had been me I would have driven over it and cut the tire, and then one of the cows would wander over and get cut too. You don't have an extra jar or know where to get one do you???? I'm using a pint jar now but it doesn't seal real good.

Bob,

I'm guessing that it must have been a dealer option. I also have one on my 1949 TO-20. As you say, there is no mention of it in my 1949 Ferguson parts book. It takes a special top on the air cleaner so it must have come as a kit. I have seen several other TO-20's with the same pre-cleaner. I think it's a neat option. I'd be interested to read other comments.
