My TO-30 was converted to 12V when I bought it and now the alternator has gone bad. They did a very poor wiring job and jury rigged the brackets so I want to re-do that as well. Is the 12V conversion kit sold here worth the cost? NAPA says a re-manufactured one-wire alternator is not available anymore so a new one is ~$70. Any input is appreciated.

Go 3 wire... it's essentially only 1 more wire, and the addition of a 194 lamp/trailer lamp.. etc..
