I guess I had a "senior moment", ordering a new exhaust pipe/muffler for a TO 20, thinking it would fit my TE 20. I forgot about the offset in the TE application. Can the down-pipe be bent to match the original design that has the offset?
As always, I appreciate all you do for us here in this forum.
Many thanks.

Hi Dennis, Don't remind me about "Senior Moments" they seem to be getting more frequent.
The TO20 and the TE20 should use the same down pipe with the bend in it, so it should fit ok.Panic not.John

The down pipe on the new one is straight. The old one has an offset. My question is, can I take this to my local muffler shop and have it reconfigured?
By the way, do any Ferguson engineering drawings still exist?
Thanks.

You could take it and have it reconfigured of course, no problem. Very few if any drawings exist now. If you are looking for something in particular let me know and I will make enquiries over here. I just checked in the Sparex Catalogue and they are showing two different down pipes, one straight and the old type with the bend in it. This was for the original manifold where the outlet was right at the rear, the later pattern manifolds have it moved forwards so it doesn"t need the bend in it.

That really clarifies it for me. Now I understand why there is a difference.
I guess I"ll try to have it reconfigured rather than return it.
Thanks, John & good day.

p.s. Just wanted you to know I am a big fan of BBC"s "As Time Goes By". I watch it every Saturday night on PBS. What a great cast of people and a good writing.
