The service manual calls for straight mineral oil, SAE 80 in winter and SAE 90 in summer. NAPA parts store carrie it. Engine oil SAE 30

Hope this helps but don't hold it too me.
I have my TEA20's rearend in pieces at the moment cleaning it out (it had lots of water in it), a piece out is the hydrolic valve(?). As far as I can see by looking at the workings it uses the same oil as in the rearend - gearbox back to PTO. 80w90 is what I'm using, thanks to my previous subject request (TEA20 new owner-repairs). Guys on this site are certainly a great help, Hope I have been of some??
P.S. I am trying to get confirmation on hydrolic oil, when I do I'll post you back. Good Luck!!!

Yes it's 80w90, depending on your temperature variation in your local area 140 may be needed. You'll need 6 gallons.
