SOme of you will remember my mention of picking up a parts tractor for $200 a few weeks ago--well I went to get it and was suprised to see someone had rigged the rear brakes with hydraulic hubs--nice bolt-on fitment-- then fabbed new pedals side by side on the right floorboard that could be linked and pushed as a unit or unlinked and used seperately--each pedal has a small car master cylinder mounted behind the fabbed pivot and then has steel brake lines run to the hydraulic hubs--I have not seen inside there yet as I have not removed a wheel but I assume they are off of some truck or other tractor with hydraulic brakes. The whole system is a little rough looking but works incredibly well!!! I stopped the tractor from rolling off the trailer (no engine) by applying hand pressure to the brakes and was able to keep it from rolling on a failrly steep incline (the trailer ramp) when I put it in the shed. ANyways--I thought someone might know more about it than I do re:compatibility or might have seen something similar done on a TO at some point. The ID is also in the 80,000's--bu I have to look it up to see what year for sure. Thanks ahead of time--DOUG

I've seen ford n tractors setup as air craft tugs with hyd brakes.. perhaps someone borrowed a few parts and made something that worked??

Or perhaps ferguson did the same?

I don't know--but it sure is a perfect bolt-on application. If I had the time and tools I might like to redo the system and clean it up a lot with double pedals that can be linked but on the right side together. THanks DOUG
