Hi folks on the planet earth.

Does anyone know what pipe threads the hydraulic pump outlets have on the TE 20 series tractors ?
I am talking about the external outlets.

Bill

If you mean the ones on the Pump Body itself they are 1/2 x 20tpi, if you mean the ones at the top under the seat they are 3/8 x 18 N.P.T.F. and the later ones still were changed to 1/2" BSP

You mean where the pressure port is on the hyd
pump under the tractor?? If so it is not a pipe
thread(unless someone has retapped it) It is a
straight fine thread. The plug has a copper seal
washer. The Fords of this vintage also have a straight SAE thread. You can get adapters for this
at a dealer or hyd shop. Chuck

Chuck's right. It's SAE 1/2" fine thread. I just reworked my pump a couple weeks ago. Some yokel had replaced the bolt and copper washer with a 3/8" pipe plug. Luckily, the threads were boogered but the housing didn't crack. I just chased the threads with a tap and cut them 1/2" or so deeper and installed a longer bolt with a copper drain plug gasket from the local auto parts store. Be CAREFUL how long of a bolt you use and how deep you tap, though. If you go too far you may block the oil flow to the lift cylinder. That's bad. Very bad. Lift no worky-worky.

Bill - The external outlets on the TO-30 are 3/8" pipe. I would assume the TO-20 is the same.
