The engine smoking from the dipstick, you need to check the breather pipe on the valve cover, the banjo bolt that goes through the pipe and into the cover can block up with sludge etc. if the oil changing has been neglected. On some engines there is a valve in the bolt that comprises of a heavy "washer" with a jiggle pin though the centre to keep the hole clean. On some engines there is a long adaptor on the other end of the pipe that screws into the inlet manifold just above the carburettor, this has the valve assy. in there. Make sure that they are clean and the pipe too, it should suck through this pipe, into the manifold and burn the fumes. There is also a thin (3/8" bore?)pipe that attaches to the Air Cleaner at one end and the cylinder block at the other, just behind the carburettor, make sure that is clean too as that is supposed to suck all the oily fumes from the crankcase into the Air Cleaner and burn them, at the same time being used as an upper cylinder lubricant to stop the valves from sticking. You may find that this will cure the oil from the dipstick, it does depend on how bad it is though, it still may require Piston Rings. The tractor with Hydraulic problems, don"t go stripping anything down on this or we will never find the fault. It may be only a blown gasket or "O" ring. I have a lot of these covering most things so if you have anything else that needs to be done just say and I will send it. I will send you a list of what I have anyway so you can get them as and when you need them, there is no need to try to get everything all at once, plus I do change them for your particular problem if necessary as not all faults do have the same remedy although they appear similar.
