Good Morning Everyone,

I have opened my hydraulic lift pump cavity on my TEA20 because I had no lifting on the arms. I cant seem to find how the parts connect to open and close the control valve for the pump. there is a fork thingy that hangs down that is operated by the lever, this has holes in the bottom end that look like they should hook to someting, but I cant find what it hooks to. any help would be appreciated. I am also looking to find a shop manual online or on a cd if anyone knows where that could be found. thanks Barney

If you drain the oil from all 3 drain plugs, then you can get at the Control Valve through the large one under the Pump, you will also need to get through one of the side ports as well so you can use two hands. If you need pictures of what is in there and what you need to do, email me at fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk and tell me what you need.

I have sent attachments with that email Barney and it has the pages that you need from the parts list already attached and as it is in two parts I have it marked in red just where the parts you speak of attach, have another look and let me know if there is a problem...John

John I sent an email with some actual pictures of what I have. I did have to disassemble everything in order to see what I have. This TEA20 is my first tractor that I am doing and I want to do as many things as I can to it. Thanks for the info, what I need are part numbers for the parts that are missing. thanks Barney

The holes at the bottom of fork connect to a bar on the rear end of the control valve. The bar has a ball on each end that fits in each hole of the fork. It may be floating around in there. It must be, if your hydraulic system was working. Once you find it it will be obvious how it hooks up.
Jim
PS The fork must be spread apart and disconnected from the control valve before dropping the pump. Likewise once the pump is reinstalled, the fork must be spread and then connected to the control valve. Set aside a goodly amount of time for this; it's finicky.

Jim

My hydraulic was not working when I bought the old baby. I have everything disassembled but it seems that there is no control valve. I am not sure where the control valve is supposed to go, I will take some pictures and can email them if that will work for you. How do you post pictures on this site?
Barney
