I am about to rebuild my to35/Z134, should I
worry about the cracks between the cylinders?
Also does anyone know a good inexpensive place
to purchase the rebuild parts. Many Thanks.

YES you should worry about the cracks between the cylinders. This is a problem that can be delt with but if it's not the cracks will travel down into the main bearing area and then you have junk. The standard fix in this area is to have the block "pinned" this consists of drilling through the block, between the cylinders and installing bolts to reinforce the block. Some shops drill in from one side and thread the other side so the bolts screw into the block. Other drill all the way through and put a nut on the bolt. You can start by checking your block to see if it has been pinned already. If not I would highly recommend you get it magnafluxed to see how far the cracks have traveled and if they are not to bad get it pinned. Sorry if I'm long winded on this but I'm in the process of rebuilding my 20 and I have seen first hand the results of neglect.
As for the regular parts, you can just go to the top left corner of this page and click on Parts and Supplies there are one or two dealers advertising there.
Good Luck Neal

Neil, I was hoping to get away with this. Not only
the cost factor but having to remove the engine. For anyone who reads this- You are able to buy
engine kits from NAPA or other auto parts places.
Prices are good and even better if you can get a
discount.

That whole long winded post of mine is just one mans opinion. It's your tractor, you should do what you feel comfortable with. That block may last longer than you or I. I know how you feel about pulling the engine as I have mine apart now. It started with what I thought was a blown head gasket. When it goes back together the only things that will be original will be the block, crank, connecting rods and rocker arm assembly. The crank had to be turned .020 because of scoring.
Best of luck to you whatever your decision and if I can help I will.
