I have a question about adjusting carb. What is the big screw on the front of carb for and how would you adjust it. I think this is the fix to my problem. My tractor will start with the choke but it will only run for about 15 sec. If I give it more gas it will die. I have a te20

Ken,
Had the same problem on my TE20. I'm no carb expert but will take a stab at it.
The large screw is the main or power adjustment needle. My service manual says to open it 1 1/4 turns. The other screw is the idle air adjusting screw. Set it at 7/8 of a turn.
I adjusted mine until I about wore it out. Had to break down a buy a complete rebuild kit. It has both needles, throttle shaft, gaskets, and jets.
Cost about $30 or so.Theyre pretty simple carbs. Good luck. Let me know if I can help more.
By the way, do you have a dash discharge light on yours. I've been looking for one. The service man
says the amp meter won't work without one. Tom B
