The Idle air adjustment,(the small screw) should be out 7/8 turns from full closed or until the engine idles smoothly and the main jet (big screw) should be opened 1-1/4 turns. When the engine is warmed up, readjust it to run smoothly under load but do not go less than one full turn out. You need the evaporative charge cooling effect of the richer mixture to prevent valve burning caused by too lean a mixture.
