Anyone else have this problem? TO-30. When front left tire raises too high, the axle is sheering off the radiator hose where it attaches to the bottom of the radiator.
Sheering off is a slight exageration. It is definately pinching, and then leaking radiator fluid. Anyway to stop the axle from pivoting this much? Paul

John(UK) is 100% on. I had the same thing going on replaced 3 hoses and then asked and John gave me the same answer. I replaced the pin and all is well. Haven't cut another hose and I go through rough ground draging logs.

The problem you have is caused by the front axle pivot pin and bush being worn. If you look under the radiator cowl from the left side you will see a space above the Pin, this is how much wear has taken place. If you carry on using it even if it doesn't catch the Radiator hose it will bend the Radius Rods to the Front Axle (from the footrests)and the tractor will be heavy and awful to steer, you will also get a terrific wobble on the Front Wheels due to it altering the castor angle on the axle. These parts can be obtained from Sparex. Bush is S42621 1.76" ID x 1.91" OD x 1.50" long. The Pin is S60049 4-1/4" long x 1-3/4" dia. Do check the dimensions of the old parts against these before you order as there has been some changes to the parts, but if your part dimensions match these then it will be ok. You may have the same type of radiator hose I have, a universal fit that's too long. It probably sticks out side the sheet metal more than it should. Try to find one that fits within the sheet metal and I think that might solve your problem.

Not unusual for them to touch. If it does more, either your radiator is too low (rubbers left out of mounting?) or axle pin & bush are worn.
