Hi

The hydraulic lift is jerky when lifting implements
I checked the pressure 2000 PSI with also tester
needle is jerking too fromm 2000 to 1000 PSI. When I stop the engine it drops to the ground in 5 seconds.

It suddenly appens no previous problems with hyd.

Thanks for reading.

Not going to add much here... just that there is seal kits available for the MF 35 pump, and if you for some reason should need to have a total pump overhaul, a good advice here is to order a Mark II kit instead of the Mark I kit. A Mark II kit will give a little more flow as the piston diameter is a little larger. And the Mark II kit will fit a Mark I pump according to my local MF dealer. A Mark III kit can never be used on a Mark I / II pump.

From your description it does sound like you have blown some "O" rings on the Pump side chambers, there is no check valve in this system unlike the TE20 & TO20 & 30 so it will drop. The Pump in this tractor is a four cylinder type and if it stops working on any of the cylinders due to a leak (blown "O" rings) then it will jerk. Think of it like a auto engine not running on all cylinders, it will misfire. The Pump will need to come out from how you describe it, but to make sure you can look in through one of the round ports when you have an implement on the 3 point linkage and the lever in the raised position, just try to see where the oil leak is as it will be escaping under pressure. Are you using the hydraulics correctly with the round "Position" control lever for lifting and lowering and the square "DRAFT" lever for the depth control. If you leave the DRAFT control at the top it will be blowing the relief valve and could blow the "O" rings. If you need the working instructions for this hydraulic system email me at:-

if you need the information on how to remove the Hydraulic Pump and top cover, again email me. while the top cover is off the tractor it may be a good idea to reset the internal linkage as it will be worn now, I have that information too...John
