It depends...

Does your engine look more like this...

If it does then you have a TEA-20 and you will want the manuals for the TEA.

or this...

Then you have a TE-20 and you can use the TE-20, TO-20 and TO-30 shop service manual. This manual is also good for the TEA-20 for all systems except the engine.

Both these tractors were built in Coventry England by the Std. Motor Co.

a good place to get manuals is here at this site.

This is interesting, The history data states that no contential engine were placed in TE-20 tractors after SN 50,000 you have SN 87,???. Will you verify that there is a Z120 cast into the engine block near the bottom left side... i.e Z120 A 600.

If this is the case get the blue Shop Service Manual and a TO-20 operators manual will be acceptable.

Jeff

We had a TE 20 but,I dont remember when Dad bought it.1947 or 48. We bought it new and it had the Continental engine. We lived in Nebradka at the time.

A TE-20 should have a Continental engine, A TEA-20 should have a Standard Motor Co engine, Both were available in 1947.
