I just broke the right side lower support pin on my TE20. How do I remove this? I need help if anyone had as advice. Right now it looks I am going to have to pull the entire axel? Is this the case? If so, should I pull the right or the left to access it?

I just saw this and can probably help you. I have a TE20 that I changed the right support pin on. By right side, I mean as one is sitting in the tractor seat. The left side pin has to have the axle trumpet removed as the ring gear is on that side. On the right side there is not as much interference and the nut for the pin can be reached. Here is what I did. Drain the oil and remove the pto shaft. Put your hand into the hole and go down the lower right side until you feel the large nut that is in a small depression. Now once it is located you can get a socket with an extension and a breaker bar on it to break it loose. There is not much room and you may need a 12 point socket or a compact ratchet attachment to move it enough to break it loose. I did it in spite of the obstacles. The pin itself has a taper and fits in a tapered hole. It will most likely take a good rap to get it out. When reinstalling be sure to put a sealant around the inside area where the retaining washer and nut are located as it will most certainly leak over time without it. This will save major disassembly.

Can the whole trumpet including brakes and halfshaft etc be removed as one? Or must the individual components be removed first?

You have to pull off the Trumpet housing on the side that is broken to get at the inside. Pull off the one on the side that is broken. Remove brake drum, brake back plate, axle-shaft then trumpet. You need to shim the end float in the axle-shaft. if you need this info email me at:-

there are two different axles and two different pins, you need to tell us the serial number of the tractor.
