just wondering if any one has ever set up an old TO or TE for pulling, just thinking of taking mine to a pull just for fun, looking for ideas on weight bracket and such

i pull a to-20 in 2700 to 3200 lb classes do the best on blacktop you will need a step up step down trans with out it 1st. is to fast and you will run out of power. on blacktop i pull 2nd.or 3rd low on dirt 1st. low

I pulled with my MF35 once just for fun. And I got 2nd place in my weight class.

I used a drawbar on the 3 ponit hitch to hook up to the sled. they allowed the drawbar to be 19" off the ground, and the stock one wasn"t anywhere near that.

I also added a lot of weight to the front end - It ended up being WAY too much. I spun out before the front end even THOUGHT about getting light.

If you do want to pull, I"d suggest finding something heavy to drag around at home to test your weight setup. That way when you get to the track you"ll have a pretty good idea how the tractor will behave.

BTW - The only reason I got 2nd place is because there were only 2 tractors in the 3,500# weight class.
