Hi Guys....I recently bought a 1980 Ford 4100 so Fergie is being retired. Good thing too because the last time I used her, she would only cut grass down hill....heehee. Any way it's a TO-20 and I'm asking 700 for it. Here's the low-down:
THE GOOD: It starts up EVERY time, quickly.-- 12 volt conversion--no water in oil and vice-versa.
all gears work....lift works...1 and 3/8ths PTO shaft conversion.
THE BAD: It leaks oil bad out of the weep holes after its been running a while....it files plugs quickly (about an hour or so after running) It pretty much doesn't have power any more...I guess the compression is poor. Oil pressure is 10/15 psi...the throttle lever slips. tires on front are car tires...back tires are in pretty good shape
THE UGLY: The tractor needs paint of course...I have the hood but it is not attatched right now because the mounting bolts are missing. The hood also has been cut and hinged to allow for easy access to gas cap....the front grill is missing some of its front "teeth"....no lights.
What we have here is a tractor that NEEDS to be rebuilt. I used it for 3 years and as long as I kept putting oil in it and changed the plugs, it would cut my 5.5 acres....but now it won't even do that because of no power, I'm guessing no compression. You have a good engine block to start with...the rest is up to you. I'm in Bush, Louisiana...about 50 miles north of New Orleans and the tractor would have to be picked up. If I don't sell it here, I will auction it off on Ebay.
Thanks for your interest.
Nick

This is not where you sell you stuff. There is a market place to put you advertizement. Please place the ad there.

Jeff
