Thanks for the help in advance.
Today my brother and I purchased what we thought was a Massey-Fergeson tractor. The man we bought from could not tell us the year only that it was a TO model. After reading the posts on this site, this is what I have to go on:

Sticker on engine cover: Massey-Fergeson xx3x (the x's are unreadable numbers on the decal)

Serial Number Plate is above the steering colum, but is not readable.

Engine plate has some readable information: Detroit & Muskegon Michigan, model: Z120-x-36682A (the 36682A is stamped into the plate)

Cast in raised numbers on the engine: Z120A-600 WF 4-8

Cast on Axle: TO-4012-B (looks to be a "B") below this is 232

Cast on Transmission under seat: TO-4024-A

Cast on transmisson next to engine: 95590 below it 5A57692 (it might read 5A37692 hard to tell)

I would be most grateful if someone can help identify make, model and year. I need to find a few parts and manual to make it 100%.

I was comparing your information to the tractor registry. The Z120 was used on the TO-20's but was also used on the TE-20's. Comparing engine serial numbers, it looks like you have a 1948 TE-20. As always, all information is suspect until proven. HTH Aaron

When you post there is a box available that you can place the address of your photo. You need to have it hosted here or at photobuck or similar and then drop in the address. Email me and I can show you how to post multiple photos in the same post.

Z120 continental engines were used in the Ferguson TO20.

The Massey merger came later, about 1954
Your model is about a 1950 model Ferguson give or take a couple years.

Thanks a lot for the information.

I just hope someone else can give me some more.

Can we link pictures to the posts? If I can do that, I would be able to put up some good quality images.

Thanks again :)

its a TO20 not a TE20 and you should be able to get parts without knowing the year. Have a look on the front of the Trumpet housings, there should be a date code on there..mm/dd..yy cast into hsg.
