Ferguson TO 30 Qestions

I have acquired a 1953 TO 30 Ferguson. My manual states that the oil filter is a TO 18662-A. It cautions not to use the one for the TO 20. What is the new number for the TO-18662-A?

Can anyone direct me to a site that gives the true colors for the TO 30?

What are the original tire sizes for the front and rear?

Do the wheels interchange with the Ford 8N? The nuts on the rear wheels that I have are only engaged half way.

What does the S represent on the transmission cover? Does that refer to the Sherman transmission or what?

I'm not positive, but I don't think a 30 came with 4.00 x 19, just the 20's. Maybe someone will correct me on this.

16" wheels were standard on the TO-30 but the 19" wheels were available as an option.

Larry,

Log on the this site, click on "Paint Selections" and you will find paint color codes for the TO-30 for several brands of paints.

Massey filter number 835817M91. Don"t even consider TSC filters. The rubber grommets are not included. MF is complete with gaskets and grommets (made in Turkey, I think). Costs a little more but well worth it if you plan to use the tractor.
