My 1954 TO30 was recently vandalized. I need to replace the fuel line from the sediment bowl to whever it goes. Does anybody have a picture or diagram to share? I think the old fuel line was metal? How does it connect to the sediment bowl? These are probably stupid questions. While I am a great weekend farmer, I am mechanically challenged. Best Regards. Jeff

I don't have a photo of the fuel line as John(TR) suggested, but I could sure take a couple if you still need me to. Let me know. Email is open.

The fuel line goes from the sediment bowl across the tractor behind the gas tank and down to the carburetor on the right side of the engine. It should have flare nuts that screw into the carb and sediment bowl already on the line when you get it. I just replaced the one on mine with a 1/4" metal brake line. It was way too long and I had to shorten it with a tubing cutter and a flaring tool. You can bend it by hand without tools if you're careful. Any auto parts house where you buy your line can cut and flare your line for you, althought it might be a little tricky to get the right length. You can maybe use a cut coat hanger to use as a pattern to get the correct bends.

It too bad a person can't have something good without some knucklehead trying to ruin it.

Enjoy that Fergy, we all do!!

It is a steel line. They have inverted flare fittings on both ends. I'm not sure about the 30 but none of that is avaiable for the 35, I just bought a tubing bender and a piece of brake line and bent up an oil pressure guage supply line.
Maybe someone with a 30 can take a picture and post

John, i was on a service call the other day and stopped and seen this old tractor. i have been passing it for a long time, over the years, when i go down this road, i walked up to the tractor,(before we got all this snow) and noticed it was a TO-30 or 35? it has 2 shifters on it. it seemed fairley straight, and has been sitting for a long time. my question is, how much should i offer this guy for this? talk at you later, i drive your place every now and then when i go hunting, maybe i will stop in and see what your building? have a merrychristmas!!! Rick

2 shifters sounds like a 35 but could be a newer massey ferguson as well. 35 motor is z135. Look at my post after this about repairing famer repars and thats the 35 dash. The TO 30 dash has an air inlet on the right side of the dash. Its eqivilent to an 8n. I'm not sure what to spend on these tractors, I could not even get anyone to stop and ask about my TO 20 I tried to sell. How much to offer???? My personal guidlines are not running not much more than 500 unless you know a lot more about it. Would consider more than that also if the sheet metal is good, wheels and tires are good etc. Heres a link to Smiths site and the question on what to look for, I could not say it any better tha John did.

Stop on by, the 35 is running. I see ones on ebay go for around 3 to 35 that appear to be in good shape, reasonable paint and decent tires. They have 35 hp, live hydraulics and live pto. I pushed snow the other day with mine and I wont be without live hydraulics again.

I paid 1800 for mine and the jury is still out on whether or not that was a good deal. Needs a lot of attention since its been setting and now it looks like the tranny input shaft seal has decided to leak.
