Could someone e-mail me pictures or a drawing of the throttle linkage setup , including how the springs hook up to the carb and governor lever . I just bought the tractor and the previous owner(s) have buggered around with it . I dont know if they changed the springs or not , or if they are even hooked up right . It doesnt seem to run like it should and down on power . I played around with it but I"m kind of shooting blind until my workshop manuals arrive .

My e-mail addy is btadlock@frontiernet.net .

I would sure appreciate it . Thanks , Bob

Thanks Mike , it sure does help a LOT . If that is indeed a TO-30 linkage pic , theres a lot of stuff missing off of mine . The guy has it rigged with a throttle return spring on the butterfly working against a very heavy governor lever spring . I suppose the original linkage just wore out and he did the best he could to make it work with what he had . It actually does work sort of .... but the throttle lever doesnt hold position . I see why now , that friction disc assy is missing .

I need to use the tractor the next few days to move some dirt , then I'll see if I can sort it out and find parts .

I wonder what the chances of getting original parts would be ? Probably slim huh ?

Thanks again Mike .

Bob,
I am going to email a couple sources that have used parts for Fergusons as well as new parts. They frown on it when you post other suppliers with their phone numbers on this forum.
Also from time to time you can find parts listed on eBay.
