I am getting ready to put the head back on my TO 20 (Z120 engine)and have been using a manual for a TO35 (Z134 engine). Are the torque settings the same? The manual for the Z134 shows the cylinder head getting 70-75 ft lbs, rocker arm supports 20-25 ft lbs, manifold nuts 25-30 ft lbs. Does that sound like it would work for the Z120 also? Would the sequence for tightening them be the same?
Thanks in advance-
Chad

I remember going thru the same thing when I replaced my manifold on my TO-20... no torque spec. listed in the manual. For the nuts/bolts not specifically listed in the manual, use SAE torque spec's.
When tightening down bolts threaded into the block, or studs that are threaded in the block, most guys I talk to use SAE grade 5 fasteners & torques. I attached a torque guide I refer to on the web.

Yes... is the short answer

The head torque is stated in the book as 70-75 (the same), but I can't find anything in the book about the rockshaft or manifold torque (and I am tired of looking), but I do know that the Z120, 129 and 134 all share the same parts in the head (except the casting itself) and the same manifold, so I would expect that the bolt sizes are the same and therefore the torque as well..
