from all the pictures i've seen, it looks like the 30 is almost always grey. Duchess is grey with faded red hood and fenders. is this a repaint? I like things original but I do like the red, would I be a dog to paint back the red?

hey thanks, guys. paint is always easy to change I guess. as I have never been the catch and release kind of guy, I don't anticipate a need for resale concerns. How about a chrome grill?

Yes, Dutchess has had her blouse and skirt repainted red from the original gray.

It is your tractor and you should paint it whatever colors please you! If that offends someone else, that is their hangup and you should not let that inhibit you.

The only exception might be if you are planning to sell her. It might be easier to sell Dutchess in her authentic skirt and blouse colors.

It was originally all gray... but even that had slightly different shades that varied from time to time.... after Massey and Ferguson merged, they (Massey-Ferguson) painted the sheeet metal red... so many owners and dealers repainted their tractors red to promote the new brand identification... Purists will still keep it gray but you should paint it any color that suits you... I've seen them practially every color under the rainbow.. including John Deere Green... JIm
