From 31st. August 1959 Fe 35`s were turned out in Red / Grey with ? Massey Ferguson Decals and T/T front badges ( some were still seen after this date with Red / Grey and Ferguson decals ). After # 166596 the Perkins 3.152 engine was used. The 35X was introduced in 1962 using the A3.152 engine.

I believe that you do have an FE-35 built in Coventry England in 1959. I also thought that the FE-35s were grey and gold. Are you sure that the paint is original?

it has to be an fe35 since the mf35 did not come with the 23c engine, the to35 used the 23c but the mf35 used the perkins diesel

Red and grey Massey Fergusons did exist with the 23 C engine untill the Perkins was avalliable with the purchase of Perkins by M.F. and also buying out the Banner lane plant from Standard.

May I could follow up/expand a bit on this thread re: TO35 colors -
I acquired a TO35 last summer, S/N 160020, and have it all sandblasted and am now ready to paint it. Under the grey paint on the cast parts I've found green paint so I gather the tractor was originally green. My question is does anyone know what the correct green color is?
And I quess equally important would anyone choose to repainta TO35 green cast and grey tin or would the preferred color be grey cast and red tin?
