OK HERE GOES GOT A GOOD ONE HERE I HAVE A T 35 GAS THAT IS WHAT I NO OF THIS TRACTOR. THIS TRACTOR IS NEW TO ME AND I AM HAVEING A REAL PROBLEM I LIVE IN NEW ENGLAND AND THE MAN I GOT THIS FROM NEVER CHANGED FLUID IN GEAR CASE AND IT FROZE BECAUSE OF WATER IN IT I HAVE SINCE GOT IT UN FROZEN AND CHANGED OIL .BUT NOW WHEN IT IS IN GEAR AND RUNNING AND THE CLUTCH IS DOWN IT DOES NOT ROLE FREELY . SO I CANT KEET INTO HIGHER GEARS IT WILL COME TO A STOP BEFORE I CHANGE.NOT SURE IF HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH CLUCH .ALSO IF IN NUTRAL IT WILL ROLL FINE.I DID ALSO TRY TO PULL IT WILE IT WAS FROZEN ABOUT 10 FEET THAN GAVE UP AND WATED FOR AWARMER DAY . NOT SURE WERE TO BEGIN

You should be aware that your tractor does not have a transmisson that can be shifted like a car. You cannot "shift on the fly". You must stop the tractor and shift the gears.
There are some tractor's out there that have sychronized transmissions but your TO-35 isn't one of them.

What grade of oil have you put in the hydraulics and transmission, if you have put gear oil in there that will give you problems as it is far too thick and could cause problems like you have.

JOHN THANKS FOR GETTING BACK TO ME I DID CHANGE FLUID THE GENTLEMEN AT THE DEALER GAVE IT TO ME HE SAID THE OLDER TRACKTORS USED A SPECIAL OIL THET IS A MINERAL OIL BASE FLUID IT LOOKS TO BE A 90 BUT IS FORMULATED FOR THE TRACTER.WOULD U NO HOW TO TELL IF IT HAD A DUAL CLUTCH AND IF MAYBE THAT WOULD BE DOING IT. To check if it has a dual or live-drive clutch, press the clutch pedal down and you will feel a positive "step" in the movement down-wards if it is. If the pedal goes all the way down and you don't feel anything until it hits the bottom, then it has a single clutch. The oil should be GL1-90W from what you say it could be right but if you are in a region that gets low temperatures a Multi-grade would be better.
