guy's hello, Beings we were on the subject of stumps I thought you might like to see a pic of my winter shop project. ( Keeps me out of the house and out of trouble if you get my drift) LOL
It's going to be a stump grinder atachment that goes on the backhoe in place of the bucket and runs off a hydrolic motor. It's lacking the fender, teeth , and the eyelets to connect to the hydrolic cylinder but it will be done for spring, This is my solution to the stump problem as i will only have $ 500.oo in it when it's done
I'm getting my ferggy feaver under control but i'm getting atachment crazy ( This will be number 9 I think). Ferggys are a great hobby if your wife doesen't throw you out(LOL) Mine is worried i'm going to leave everything to the tractor. LOL Regards-ed

Just wondering, how are you supporting the coupling end of the cutter wheel? I there a bearing clear out to the end of the stub shaft, and if so how do you get the wheel assy off to replace the bearing if it goes bad? Cool idea though. Wonder if a feller could make one for the three point on my 20? It might take a little thinkin' to get the swing part figgered out. LOL Be sure and put a picture on when you get it done.

Erv, Hello and thanks for your interest, If you look close you will see the flywheel is supported by an automotive hub and spindle, the red tube does nothing but drive the wheel and doesn.t support it. also note the chain couppler connecting the hyd. motor , It allows for misalignment and keeps and side stress off the motor. Three pnt. would have been my first choice. I ruled it out because the way i'm doing it uselizes hyd. cillinders i allready have. instead of buying new. A 3pnt hitch one could be made from a bush hog gear box and drive shaft and 2 hyd. cylinders. the teeth are about 300.00 dollars. I is well worth the effort as grinders are very expensive. Also mine is designed to come apart easy for repaires Send me a email if i can be of help-Regards-ed

John, Hello, You guessed it, A full sized picture of the Duke. My friend sent it to me from Califorina and my wife threw it out of the house LOL. I'm sending a pic of my box scraper, It's a gannon earthcavator from the mid 50s. Roy gannon invented the scraper/scarfer concept in 1948 and go very rich from the idea as they give you the ability to rip up and move dirt like a dozer with a little tractor. You are making good progress on your 35, It's going to be nice when you are done. I'm afraid you have the ferggy bug for life. Regards-ed
