Hi, My dad has an old Harry Ferguson, INC tractor, and I have no idea what model it is or what it is worth. All I know is that on the original tag it says Harry Ferguson, INC. with a serial number T0-700. My dad thinks it is a t0-10, but is unsure. Basically, I was wondering with the serial # being t0-700 if it was really a t0-10. Also, this tractor is in prime shape. Believed to be a 1950. Also, what is the value of a tractor of this nature. Sorry for being such a novice. Thanks, Barry

As others said it appears you have an early TO-20. Also, as they pointed out, the value depends so very much on the condition that it is difficult to give you a figure. You said it runs well. Assuming the hydraulics work fine and don"t leak down with a load and the tractor off in less than about 10 minutes, and assuming the tires are good, the steering is good and the sheet metal is decent it may be worth around $2,000 or so, which is probably close to a top end price. Those are most of the really high priced items, so if one or more of those items mentioned is not that good, reduce accordingly. Location can make a big difference also. Having a very low serial might be worth something to some people.

Also, I forgot to mention that having an original tractor jack to go with it definitely adds to the value. I'm not sure how much, but don't give the jack away.

barry...it's ok to be a novice, we all started out that way. i agree with jerry and bob that you have a 1948 TO-20...the 700th ever made out of about 60,000 between 1948 and 1951. that's very interesting. on the left side of the engine block just below the head there should be an engine data plate also. you should find that yours has a Z120 continental engine. the value of it as stated, depends on the condition, how complete and original it is, and how well it runs. (if running) what are your plans with this tractor? are you selling it or restoring it? is it still being used for work? just curious.

Hey, all thanks for the help. I posted a pic under the galleries-tractor photos section. As for the tractor itself, it was purchased back in 1965 by my father. It is used only once or twice a year, but is started about every 3 mo. or less. All parts are original except a new manifold. It was last painted about 20 years ago. It uses no oil, and starts w/o a problem. I also have a device that hooks to it that you drive up on and it raises all 4 wheels off of the ground. I don't know what that is called...sorry. My dad wants to sell the tractor and I just have no idea what it is worth. I have a few more photos if anyone wants to see them. Thanks again, and if you could estimate a $ value for me that would be great, just by my description and the photos. Thanks.

Never heard of a TO-10 but most likely you have a TO-20, the 700th one off the line. The -20's go from TO 00001 to TO 60000 and the TO-30's go from TO 60001 to somewhere around TO 140000. the value depends on the condition of the tractor.

If it is TO-20 SerialNumber 700 it will be a 1948 model.

Serial numbers and tractor value guide is shown on this web site, left column under "Research & Info".
