My uncle recently passed away and i'm in the process of buying his small farm. Along with the farm I'm also buying his tractor. It's a to-30 and we rebuilt the engine on it about 12 years ago. We used it mainly for plowing tobacco for about two seasons and then it just set in the barn the rest of the time unstarted. Before he passed away he must have tried to start it and found that it had a bad waterpump, because the pump is gone off of it. I gave $100 for the tractor and am hoping to fix it when I get moved. I can't remember, but do these tractors have auxillary hook-ups for hydraulic lines, for like when you want to use a bush hog that has hydraulic lift instead of 3 point? It's been a long time since I messed with tractors and then they were mostly old Allis Chalmers like the D-15 or D-17. Did I get a good deal on this tractor? I'm hoping it's not locked up, he had the water pump hole plugged up with rags, so I'm thinking that's all that's wrong with it. I know it ran like a new one when he parked it in the barn 10 years ago.

$100??? I am sorry about the circumstances, but oh that we all could buy one (or ten) for that.. and I am happy that it stays in the family as I suspect others are too...

Even in the worst of condition and with a stuck motor, it would probably be worth $500... and after you get it running, probably 1500 to 2500 depending on the condition..

Yes, it can be plumbed for external hydraulics...

And D-17 old???? you are showing your age :-)

Welcome to the forum!!!! lots of nice helpful people here!
