Evening Everyone I havent been on in a while but now Im back. I was down in McAlen, Texas picking up a travel trailer. I bought it from my parents who spend there winters down there. I have to tell you, I drove down and while I was gone I could hardly imagine I would see that many old fergusons along the way for sale. I crossed quite a few states on my way there and back, Indiana, Tennesee,Arkansa,Misouri, Illinois, and of course Texas.( If I spelled them wrong, please forgive me ) I was almost swallowed up by a Tornado coming thru Houston. For a canadian that was somthing I will never forget. No matter I survived.( never seen green clouds before ) I stopped when ever I could to see Fergusons that where for sale along the way. Quite a price range I must say , anything from $900 to $3100. But the most satisfying thing I will take away from my week long treck was the freindly folks I met in the US. Anyway , just some of my thought sitting here on a friday night, stay well everyone,,, Barry

Hi Barry, you seem to have had the same experience with Americans that I had in 2004 when I was on my nearly 4 week trip to Milwaukee, with a little detour to Carlisle, PA, Baltimore, and you know that little town up in Michigan where they make a few cars, ...Detroit I think the name is... :-)
Very friendly people. No wonder I have missed it every day since. In 2004 it was Ford cars and Galaxies I was looking for. Maybe next time I should look for tractors and farm stuff. So bad I can not drive myself.

Bill

You saw those green clouds, eh? I saw them once about 20 or so years ago while I was at work. I"m in Sarnia Ontario and work at an oil refinery so when we stood at the doors of the control building and saw those green clouds with swirling clouds in them heading straight for us, we almost greased our shorts. A little village east of us (Reece"s Corners) was beat up by the storm rather badly. We were fine, but I know that horrified feeling when you see those green clouds coming at you. Especially when your in a dangerous place like an oil refinery.
Did you see a Fergie that interested you?

What are "green clouds" in the USA?

In Australia they are hail clouds, the worst hail being golf ball size and larger. They make a mess of car body work!

Morning Bob I never heard of green clouds in my life either, but all my freinds who are truckers told me that if you see any clouds that look dark and dangerous and that have a tindge of green in them, LOOK OUT because they may be the start of a TORNADO. At the time we seen them we were coming back thru Indiana, I was driving a Dodge Deisel truck with dual wheels on the back towing a 30 foot travel trailer, heading strate for these dark greenish coloured clouds. All the while the radio station we were tuned to at the time was blasting weather warnings every 5 minutes. Telling drivers to be on the lookout for funnel clouds. We never seen a tornado but we had to be very close to one, I was a bit nervous to say the least. But we made it home in one peace, with lots of stories to tell everyone. I didnt buy any Fergusons but there were alots for sale along the way. Stay well everyone,,, Barry. PS- If I could figure out how to post a picture on this site I would show everyone a picture of green clouds, I took a few, Awsome looking to say the least.
