I finally scored the missing piece for my sherman swap - bought one for a 8n - wrong one come to find out. Theres nothing like something being sold as the wrong piece then later find out what it really is and how much it will cost to make it work

Thanks to John Smith for having the right piece I needed to make the ferguson shermanable

Good deal! I look forward to seeing it installed. Keep plugging away. In the end, I think you'll be very pleased for a long time to come and it will all have been worth it.

HI Matt.. Just for my additional education... I have been told the the Ford version would work on a Ferguson if one was willing to give up the gear shift start feature... Was this your experience? I have been passing on that info (with a question mark) and would like to get it straightened out... Any other reason that you know of? Thanks, JIm

I didnt wanna give up the start feature. Really didnt wanna lose it since I have dumped so much money in this tractor - might as well keep it original as possible I figure. I hear you can mod the linkage to work, but I dont feel like screwing with it.

Begining to want this project done and over with..... ...

I can get pics of when install it. Can prolly even try it with my 8n cover,
